We believe the local church is the hope of the world and God is going to stir up His Church to do more than we ever thought possible. Last week we started our series on This Is Who We Are by looking at the fact that we want to be a church filled with BIG faith. This Sunday, lead pastor David Beaty will continue this discussion talking about the fact that we are not spiritual consumers. We are spiritual contributors. Why? Because we understand that the Church does not exist for us, but we are the Church, and we exist for the world. Join us for what promises to be one of those subjects that stirs our hearts to action.

God’s Word is very clear that every individual should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s why we talk all the time about coming ‘face to face with the love of God’! But what if there is more to it than that? What if we we’re also to have a shared relationship with Jesus? Starting this Sunday lead pastor David Beaty will be sharing with us concerning what God is calling us to be about, and what we are to stand for, as a local church. Join us because something special happens when we come together as the Church.

We got off to a great start last week in our Christmas movie series and this week we continue with a look at Frank Capra’s: It’s A Wonderful Life. It’s very interesting that this movie was not all that popular when it first came out. But the lessons in it have stood the test of time and still speak to us today. This Sunday lead pastor David Beaty will share from God’s Word and from the life of George Bailey about how we can learn not to focus on what we’ve lost but build on what remains. This is not going to be your typical Christmas sermon.

  • Making The Impossible Possible-I Want To Be Crazy Too

What’s done is done, right? Some things in life are irreversible. You cannot un-bake cookies, uncut hair, undelete documents, or un-run red lights. These are a few lessons we have all learned the hard way. A couple of sisters in the Bible knew this feeling well. Their brother was gone for good. Their lives as they knew them were over. But it’s not over until God says it’s over! This Sunday lead pastor David Beaty will conclude our series on “Making The Impossible Possible” with a look at when the Grim Reaper lost out to the Grave Robber.

  • Making the Impossible Possible-Is it Really Unsolvable?

You can download the Small Group Questions by clicking Here

It is one of the most recognizable miracles in scripture. If you asked a group of people, many of them could tell you about the time Jesus used 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed over 5000 people. And the truth we learn from this miracle is that if you put what you have in your hands into God’s hands, He can make a lot out of a little. But is it possible there is so much more for us to learn from this story in John 6? If this story is true then why do we let what we cannot do keep us from doing what we can do? What do we do when the will of God doesn’t add up? Join us as lead pastor David Beaty walks us through this familiar story which still has so much to teach us.

  • Making The Impossible Possible-You Get What You Expect

You can download the Small Group Questions by clicking Here

It’s been said that as we age most of us stop living out of imagination and we start living out of memory. We stop creating the future and we start repeating the past. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Lead pastor David Beaty unwraps the third of Jesus’ miracles, this one from John 5:1-9. He’ll share with us about how sometimes it’s our expectations that box God in or keeps him out. God wants to help us by working on our expectations. Join us as we discover that if you want God to do something new, then you’ve got to do something different!

  • Making the Impossible Possible-You Are Someone Else’s Miracle

You can download the Small Group Questions by clicking Here

Join us this Sunday, as we continue our ‘Making The Impossible Possible’ series. This weekend, lead pastor David Beaty is going to reinforce the idea that we go nowhere by accident. Wherever we go, God is sending us. And wherever we are, God put us there. The second miracle of Jesus in the book of John serves as the backdrop for this incredible lesson. What we’re learning in this series is that our efforts won’t make miracles happen, but our lack of effort can keep them from happening.

  • Making the Impossible Possible-God Doesn’t Need Much To Work With

You can download the Small Group Questions by clicking Here

Sometimes it’s hard to believe that God still does miracles. We don’t expect Him to move in miraculous ways in our day-in and day-out lives. Maybe we’d like to see miracles, but it’s hard to see past our problems. This weekend we begin a 5 week series looking at the miracles of Jesus that are found in the book of John. Lead pastor David Beaty guides us through these miracles and points out to all of us that, no matter how big the problem is, God is bigger still. If you long to see God work in really big ways, you will love this series!

  • WHY?

You can download the Small Group Questions by clicking Here

“Why?” Isn’t it really the question behind all the other questions we ask? Most of us can look at a situation, an event, a happening, or even a church and offer an explanation about “What” and “How”; but we really want to know “Why?” i.e. Why is this happening? Why was that decision made? Why do we do things the way we do them? Jesus was absolutely clear about His “Why?”. Here at First Christian, we believe the “Why?” of Jesus should also be our “Why?”.
